Chris Sutton makes ‘strange’ comment as he points to problems in Nottingham Forest vs Tottenham prediction
When Nottingham Forest plays Tottenham on Boxing Day, they will be looking to win four straight Premier League games in order to maintain their spot in the top four.
Nuno’s Reds, who have defeated Manchester United, Aston Villa, and Brentford in their previous three league games, will meet Spurs at the City Ground on Thursday at 3 p.m. They are currently seven spots above of Tottenham, who lost 6-3 to leaders Liverpool last time out, and only behind Liverpool, Chelsea, and Arsenal in the standings.
Making his prediction for the Boxing Day clash, pundit Chris Sutton told the BBC: “Tottenham are flagging at the moment and missing a lot of key players but it is obvious that Spurs manager Ange Postecoglou won’t compromise on his playing style – he has made that clear in the past week.
“It makes this game fascinating because Nottingham Forest are in great form and they are also resilient defensively, and able to soak up pressure
You have to bet on Forest to score a few goals as well, but Spurs are such an odd squad that I still think they may win by three or four goals at the City Ground.
Nuno Espirito Santo’s team will simply sit in a mid-to-low block and counterattack, which will cause Spurs problems, thus I am quite tempted to support them to win .
“But Tottenham have got goals in them, so I am going for a draw.”
Sutton’s prediction: 2-2
