Chris Sutton says Celtic star is ‘under-appreciated’, as Neil McCann calls him ‘unbelievable’
Celtic is right where they should be going into the international break.
Many people undoubtedly thought that Celtic would start like a house on fire and continue where Ange Postecoglou had left off when Brendan Rodgers returned to the team last season.
Even though it wasn’t meant to be, the title and a thrilling last-second victory over Rangers in the Scottish Cup final were still achieved.
Even if Graeme Souness believes differently, Celtic has once again outperformed Rangers in the present to highlight the two teams’ extreme differences in class.
Following that game, there was a lot of discussion about the Bhoys’ victory and how they are getting farther and farther ahead of their opponents.
However, in case anyone missed it, the attacker’s 500th club appearance came when he came off the bench in another Glasgow derby victory.
The 33-year-old, who now has 24 honours in green and white, will soon surpass all other Celtic players in terms of trophies won.
Bobby Lennox, the current leader, will be surpassed by Forrest with just two more winner’s medals, and he will fully deserve it.
You would think that someone who has such a high standing in the club’s history would receive praise and admiration everywhere they go.
However, Chris Sutton believes that Forrest is still “under-appreciated” at Parkhead despite his trophy collection.
In agreement with his fellow pundit, Neil McCann told Sky Sports Football on January 9, 24, that it’s “very, very special” that he has accomplished such a feat in his career.
The 500 appearances made by James Forrest for Celtic
“It’s pretty amazing, isn’t it?” remarked Neil McCann. He arrived via the academy. He has affected this football team so much. 500 appearances is an extremely noteworthy accomplishment.
“I have always felt that James Forrest is slightly underappreciated,” Sutton continued.
