CLTFC Adds Trio Through MLS SuperDraft
CHARLOTTE, NC (Friday, December 20, 2024) – Charlotte FC bolstered its roster for the 2025 season by selecting three promising players during the MLS SuperDraft.
The Club traded its original 17th overall pick and $100,000 in General Allocation Money to San Diego FC in exchange for the ninth overall selection, which it used to draft Mikah Thomas, a defender from the University of Connecticut.
In the second round, Charlotte chose Andrew Johnson, a defender from Cornell University, with the 47th overall pick.
To complete their selections, Charlotte secured Barzee Blama, a forward from Mercer University, in the third round (77th overall).

Known for his dynamic attacking play, Blama adds depth to Charlotte’s forward line.
Charlotte FC is optimistic about the potential of these young talents as they integrate into the squad ahead of the 2025 campaign.
