Crystal Palace and Nottingham Forest are Intrested In Arsenal Striker As Per Sky Sports
Crystal Palace and Nottingham Forest are among the clubs still interested in Eddie Nketiah after Bournemouth pulled out of the race.
Eddie Nketiah has been at the centre of a busy summer of transfer speculation, but things haven’t gone entirely to plan for him so far.
Marseille initially made two bids for him, but Arsenal rejected them and put up a €30 million asking price. The Ligue 1 team declined a second offer for Nketiah, deciding instead to spend a little bit more for Elye Wahi.
Following that, Bournemouth let go of Dominic Solanke and looked to Nketiah as a potential replacement. However, Bournemouth ultimately opted for a different course of action and paid over £40 million to sign Evanilson from FC Porto.
Sami Mokbel stated on Thursday that other Premier League teams were showing interest in Arsenal’s striker, Nketiah, but Bournemouth was dropping out of the running for him as a result of their move for Evanilson.
Then, according to Sky Sports News, clubs interested in Nketiah were Nottingham Forest and Crystal Palace, who were examining the terms of a possible deal.
Nketiah is seeking regular playing time, according to the report, which also identified Palace as being in the market for a forward.
Only 13 of Nketiah’s 37 appearances for Arsenal during the previous season were starts.
The striker made appearances throughout pre-season and was in Mikel Arteta’s squad against Wolves on Saturday, but he’s still expected to leave if Arsenal can find a buyer at the right price.
