Cyriel Dessers Makes Untrue Celtic Claim
Following his team’s victory over Hearts in the Scottish Cup semi-final, Cyriel Dessers, a striker for Rangers, made a daring statement that may cause some concern among Celtic fans.
Dessers stated that his team is the best in the league in a post-match interview, demonstrating his deep faith in their abilities.
He was quoted by SunSport as saying, “If you look at the last few months we’ve shown what we’re capable of and I think it’s just trying to get the vibe back.”
“I think we’re the best team in the league if we can find that rhythm back then, and hopefully we can demonstrate that in the upcoming games.”
“Everyone will be on the pitch together, not just the 11 or 15 of us. Together, the players, staff, supporters, and everyone else associated with the club, I believe we can succeed.
Rangers’ performance against Celtic hasn’t affected this confidence. This season, the two teams have faced off three times, with Celtic emerging victorious twice and the teams drawing once. In addition, Celtic leads Rangers by three points going into the split in the Scottish Premiership.
Dessers’ remarks are especially noteworthy in light of the Celtic camp’s cautious stance. Brendan Rodgers, the manager of Celtics, and his group have continuously downplayed their chances of winning the championship, and they are not that stupid to make such ludicrous claims.
