Danilo breaks his silence after suffering horror injury
Danilo delivers an update to fans after suffering a horror injury just minutes into Nottingham Forest’s Premier League opener against Bournemouth
Danilo, a midfielder for Nottingham Forest, has spoken out after sustaining a horrific injury moments into the team’s opening match of the new campaign.
The first half of Forest’s Saturday afternoon match against Bournemouth was postponed for seven minutes due to an awkward landing by midfielder Danilo.
In an aerial ball challenge with Antoine Semenyo inside the centre circle, the Brazilian landed awkwardly on his left foot, putting his leg in an unusual position.
Medical personnel hurried onto the pitch as referee Michael Oliver stopped play as soon as he saw the severity of the injury.
As he was being treated, the entire area fell silent. He has since addressed fans on social media regarding the aftermath of the incident.
