Rangers F.C
Deal almost done: The Rangers’ behind-the-scenes arrival will be completed within days.
Rangers are just days away from finalising the signing of Tom Taylor, who will move from Brighton to Ibrox.
The Gers confirmed on their website that he will join the club as Head of Performance from the Premier League side later this month.
It comes as the Light Blues announced that Alex Rae, along with Stephan van der Heyden, Brian Gilmour, and Colin Stewart, will be part of Philippe Clement’s backroom staff for the remainder of the season.
Positive
The latest management team announcements should be viewed positively by Rangers, as there is a wealth of experience and football knowledge on the team.
Rae’s appointment is a wise move to ensure that there is someone working alongside Clement who truly understands the club’s mission.
Bringing Taylor from Brighton also appears to be a wise move after he has helped the English club achieve great success in recent years.
It’s critical to put the right people in place behind the scenes to work with Clement because it can make a huge difference in how the squad develops on a daily basis as well as how they perform on matchdays.
The Belgian will be relieved to have his staff in place as he looks to build on his strong start to life in Glasgow and lead the Gers to silverware this season.
In other news, ‘They’ve got to stop,’ says Neil Lennon, irritated by Rangers penalty incidents during a pundit dispute.
