Do not be worried about Kyogo.

There has been a lot of discussion recently about Kyogo and his role under Brendan Rodgers. According to reports, the Japanese striker is struggling to adjust to his new role under the Irishman.

Kyogo, admittedly, has fallen short of his own high expectations and hasn’t been the same threat in recent campaigns. Is this due to Brendan’s request that he play a more withdrawn role, as opposed to his more advanced role under Ange?

Perhaps, but it hasn’t stopped him from delivering this season. His eight goals in 20 games across all competitions is still a respectable return. Kyogo was absolutely sensational last season, scoring 34 goals in all competitions as we won the treble.

He may be a victim of his own success, and while his fans expect a lot more from him, Kyogo is probably expecting too much from himself. But he and his supporters should not be concerned; he will quickly adjust to his new role under Brendan. He’s a gifted player who will soon be as productive as ever.

Any talk of Kyogo struggling is therefore nonsense. Give him some time; he’s too good not to.
