“Dreadful” Considering what the Celtic player did against Hearts on Sunday, Neil Lennon was not impressed.

After Adam Idah, a Celtic loanee, had his first-half penalty saved and the Hoops lost to Hearts on Sunday, Neil Lennon was not holding back in his criticism of the player.
It was almost impossible for Brendan Rodgers’ team to have a more frustrating afternoon at Tynecastle. Naturally, Celtic had an opportunity to seize the lead in the Scottish Premiership following Motherwell’s victory over Rangers on Saturday.
And for the first eleven minutes, it looked like everything was going according to plan. Celtic’s 12-yard attempt to take the lead was made possible by a foul committed inside the penalty area against Hyun-jun Yang.

Neil Lennon chastised Adam Idah following his missed penalty in Celtic’s defeat.

In an attempt to score his sixth goal for the Bhoys after joining Parkhead on loan during the January transfer window, Adam Idah stepped up.
Idah’s penalty, unfortunately for the champions, went straight down the middle. Zander Clark was then able to use his legs to keep the ball out.

Neil Lennon, in an interview on Sky Sports later that day (aired on March 3 at 14:13), expressed his opinion that the Republic of Ireland international could have performed much better with the penalty.

It is a terrible punishment. Zander Clark has done pretty good, really. He’s used his legs to maintain his balance. However, Idah’s poor contact presented Celtic with a great opportunity to take the lead early in the game, he said.

Goal early could have made all the difference.

For Celtic, the afternoon simply got worse from that point on. Shortly after, Yang was sent off for high-booting Alex Cochrane in the face.

However, Hearts would go on to score in both halves, defeating the Hoops 2-0.Adam Idah tipped to be 'top level EPL striker' as Celtic look to unlock him - Yahoo Sport

It would be understandable for Celtic supporters to wonder how the match would have changed if Idah had scored. Idah had a few brilliant plays in the first half, but at the critical juncture, he was unable to make it click. And if the 23-year-old had broken the tie from the penalty spot, maybe that wouldn’t have happened.
