Everton eyeing move for PL gem who could be Anthony Gordon

He’s enjoyed an excellent campaign during 2023/24.

Despite playing excellent defence under manager Sean Dyche in the 2023–24 Premier League season, Everton has found it difficult to consistently generate quality play in the attacking third.

Both Abdoulaye Doucoure and Dominic Calvert-Lewin scored seven goals apiece in the league, but both had scoring droughts during the season. Doucoure’s goalless streak lasted more than four months, during which the team managed just one victory in fifteen games.

Only Sheffield United, the bottom team, scored fewer goals than Dyche’s Toffees, who only managed 40 goals in 38 Premier League games.
They must act sensibly to avoid breaking the Premier League’s stringent PSR regulations for the third time in the previous 12 months, even though they sorely need reinforcements in the final third.
This summer, obviously, will be all about outgoings, but the team should also look to add a forward, as the Toffees have already shown interest in one player, to help improve the goal-scoring situation at Goodison Park.

Everton is drawn to a gifted child
After making an impression this season away from St. James’ Park, Gambian forward Yankuba Minteh of Newcastle United is reportedly of interest to Everton this summer, according to the Daily Mail.

In his 27 Eredivisie games for Arne Slot’s Feyenoord, the 19-year-old has tallied ten goals and contributed five assists. He is hoping to gain experience in advance of a possible first-team spot for Newcastle in the upcoming campaign.

Minteh-Feyenoord

Eddie Howe’s team, like the Toffees, is dealing with their own FFP concerns, so even though Minteh never played for the Magpies’ first team, they may try to cash in on him this summer despite his outstanding season in the Netherlands.

Luke Edwards of The Telegraph has previously reported that Newcastle may try to move the forward in the summer in an effort to counter their FFP and PSR circumstances, with Everton hoping to seize the opportunity and acquire a player who can significantly strengthen the Toffees’ forward line.
