Man City will accept offers of £20 million to let Kalvin Phillips leave permanently this summer, according to Football Insider.

On the latest episode of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, senior correspondent Pete O’Rourke revealed that Everton have made a move to sign Phillips as a replacement for the departing Amadou Onana.
According to sources, the midfielder wants to get his career back on track following a failed loan move to West Ham in the second half of last season.

City paid £42 million to sign Phillips from Leeds just two years ago and could now sell him for less than half that amount in an attempt to get him off their books.

Phillips joined City in 2022 and has helped the team win the Champions League, Club World Cup, FA Cup, and two Premier League titles.

However, he has only made 31 appearances under Pep Guardiola, with 17 of them coming off the bench as he struggled to replace Rodri in the starting lineup.
After falling out of favour under David Moyes and clashing with fans, he was loaned to West Ham, where he only made ten appearances.

As a result, City are looking to cut their losses and will sanction a significantly reduced-priced deal to offload him as soon as possible this summer.
