Everton to sell ‘big name’ by 30th June as five star men could go

As they try to balance the books, Everton will need to sell at least one of their “big” stars by June 30th, sources have told Football Insider.

Senior correspondent Pete O’Rourke stated on the most recent episode of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast that when the transfer window reopens, teams will be interested in Jarrad Branthwaite, Amadou Onana, Jordan Pickford, Dwight McNeil, and James Garner.
Due to their two distinct profit and sustainability (PSR) violations, Everton has lost eight points overall this season.

Concerns about their financial situation have put the Toffees at “huge” risk of losing even more points next season, according to a report by Football Insider on May 19.

O’Rourke acknowledged that selling one of their best players before the team files their financial statements at the end of June might significantly lessen their issues at Goodison Park.

This summer, Everton may sell Amadou Onana.
Everton’s season has been difficult because their off-field problems have impeded their on-field development.
If not for their eight-point deduction, Sean Dyche’s team would be comfortably positioned in the middle of the table.

Before a recent hot streak guaranteed the Toffees’ Premier League status for another season, they were deep in the relegation battle for several months.
According to O’Rourke, some teams are keeping an eye on Everton’s financial status in preparation for a possible summer move to sign some of their stars.

The players most likely to draw the greatest attention are Branthwaite and Onana, who have recently drawn interest from a number of elite teams.

On May 17, Football Insider reported that in order to allay their financial worries, the team is expected to accept offers for Onana that exceed £50 million.
