“Every Celtic fan and everyone at the club would love to have him…” Liam Scales Pleads for Celtic Transfer
Liam Scales has openly declared his desire for the club to secure a permanent transfer for fellow Irish international Adam Idah.
Idah, who joined Celtic on a six-month loan without an option to buy last January, rapidly became a key player, impressing fans and players alike despite initial cynicism over the transfer window’s return.
In an interview with Irish journalist Paul O’Hehir, carried by the Daily Record, Scales noted Idah’s huge impact at Celtic and his personal hopes for Idah’s return. “100% I want him to stay,” Scales remarked. “Every Celtic fan and everyone at the club would love to have him back. He was outstanding but a lot of things have to go right for that to happen but hopefully it will.”
Idah’s time at Celtic was distinguished by critical contributions, including many last-minute league goals and a thrilling 90th-minute winner against Rangers in the Scottish Cup Final, which helped the club achieve the domestic double last season.
Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers has also highlighted Idah as a driving force behind the team’s success, highlighting the club’s broad desire for his return. Former Celtic manager Neil Lennon supports the current manager’s decision to sign the attacker.
It would be lovely to see him return next season, but Celtic will have to wait for Norwich City’s new manager to assess the striker in pre-season before making a decision on his future.
