Exclusive: Bournemouth and Stoke City make moves for Celtic star
Sources tell Football Insider that Bournemouth and Stoke City are interested in signing Celtic defender Bosun Lawal.
The two English clubs are interested in the 21-year-old, but RB Salzburg of Austria is a strong contender.
Celtic are expected to consider both loan and permanent offers for the centre-back, who impressed while on loan at Fleetwood last season.
Lawal may struggle to find opportunities as fellow Irishman Liam Scales and Swedish international Gustaf Lagerbielke are far ahead of him in the pecking order.
Lawal is said to be willing to leave the Glasgow giants if they do not give him any first-team opportunities.
Celtic are willing to let Lawal leave permanently.
Lawal appears to be on his way out after an impressive loan spell at Fleetwood, where he scored six goals and assisted twice in 47 games.
The Republic of Ireland Under-21 international’s athleticism is one of his most valuable assets. He is a remarkably versatile player who can also play in central midfield.
Lawal was recently called up to the Republic of Ireland senior team ahead of their friendly win over Hungary.
Although he did not play in the 2-1 win, he has the potential to be a valuable asset to both club and country in the near future.
