Fabrizio Romano discloses crucial financial details of Stefano Sensi’s transfer.
Leicester City are on the verge of signing Inter Milan midfielder Stefano Sensi for a bargain price.
Leicester City are close to signing Inter Milan’s Stefano Sensi, who looks like an absolute steal if the deal is completed before the end of the transfer window.
The Foxes currently lead the Championship by six points, demonstrating that they are one of the league’s most impressive teams. They appear to be on track to immediately return to the top tier by the end of the season.
With Ipswich Town, Southampton, and Leeds United on their heels, the former Premier League champions may look for new signings to help them maintain their lead at the top of the table in the final days of the transfer window.
So far this winter, the Foxes have not been particularly active in the transfer market. Following their relegation from the Premier League, they had a busy summer, bringing in big-money signings such as Harry Winks and Tom Cannon to help them return to the top division as soon as possible.

Leicester are close to completing the deal for Stefano Sensi.
Leicester are reportedly close to signing Sensi, with Fabrizio Romano claiming the transfer from Inter Milan will be completed today.
The deal appears to be a complete bargain for the Foxes, with Romano reporting that the fee for the Serie A midfielder is around £425,000 up front; a fantastic deal for a 28-year-old with top-level Italian and European football experience.

According to reports, the deal includes stipulations requiring Leicester to pay an additional £1.7 million upon promotion to the Premier League.
However, given that being in the top division is said to net you over £100 million in TV rights money, this will prove to be a fantastic deal for the current league leader.
Sensi’s transfer would be an incredible deal for Leicester.
Signing Sensi for the rumoured price would be an extremely wise move for the Foxes this January.
With incredible fees being touted, such as £40 million for Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, Maresca will be pinching himself that he can sign a player with experience in one of the world’s best leagues for as little as £425,000.
We must also remember that just four years ago, Inter paid £21 million for the midfielder from Sassuolo after impressing on loan at the San Siro. He played an important role for the club in Serie A and the Champions League, but injuries and loan moves derailed his career at one of Italy’s biggest clubs.
While he hasn’t played much for Inter this season, a move to Leicester could revitalise his career and provide Sensi with an opportunity to showcase his abilities to the world. In terms of preferred playing style, he has been compared to players such as Winks, but his versatility allows him to play in a variety of midfield positions and do so effectively.
Getting a player who cost over £20 million just a few years ago for a bargain price could be a huge coup for Leicester, and they should do everything they can to complete the deal by the end of this week.
The transfer appears to be for next season, as the 28-year-old will undoubtedly be viewed as someone who can use his experience to help keep the club in the Premier League if they maintain their form and win promotion this season.
