Che Adams’ free transfer to Nottingham Forest is reportedly imminent, beating out several Premier League rivals for his services.

The Scottish international contributed to Southampton’s play-off victory and subsequent promotion back into the Premier League, but the Saints were unable to sign him to a long-term contract.
Adams scored 17 goals in 46 games during the 2023–2024 season, and multiple teams were drawn to him because of his strong play and experience playing in the top division.

Che Adams: Southampton striker insists forthcoming Euro 2020 ...
Last month, TEAMtalk received information from sources indicating that Wolves, Everton, and Leeds United were interested in signing the 27-year-old forward.

But with Adams’ Southampton contract expiring at the end of this month, Nottingham Forest is now the heavy favourite to sign him on a free transfer, according to Fabrizio Romano.
“Nottingham Forest has made a proposal to sign Che Adams as a free agent, moving the striker closer to Wolves.” Romano posted something on X.
“Forest, we’re waiting to seal the agreement and are confident we can finish it soon.”

Nottingham Forest could have another PSR violation
After losing four points for breaking the Premier League’s profit and sustainability regulations (formerly known as Financial Fair Play), Forest had a challenging 2023–24 season and narrowly avoided relegation.

According to reports, they run the risk of committing another PSR violation, and they’ll probably need to close at least one deal before turning in their accounts on June 30.

A number of their players have been connected to departures; Tottenham, for instance, is reportedly interested in Morgan Gibbs-White.

The Tricky Trees are interested in a deal for Adams because of their circumstances, which make free transfers and loans advantageous for them.

In the upcoming season, Taiwo Awoniyi and Chris Wood may have competition from the Southampton star at the City Ground.

Adams has played in 124 Premier League games so far in his career, tallying 13 assists and 25 goals.

Before the European Championships begin in just over a week, he reportedly wants to finalise a transfer to his next club.
