“FC Cincinnati Star Stuns MLS—Shuts Down Champs and Lands Huge Honor!”
FC Cincinnati’s Miles Robinson has been named to the MLS Team of the Matchday for Matchday 1, the league announced Monday, while teammate Kévin Denkey earned a spot on the TOTMD bench.

Robinson led FC Cincinnati as captain in their MLS Regular Season opener against the New York Red Bulls, anchoring the defense in a commanding shutout over the defending Eastern Conference Champions. The Orange and Blue secured a 1-0 victory at TQL Stadium, marking a strong start to the season.
Robinson and the Cincinnati backline held New York to just three shots on target, ensuring a clean sheet win. The center-back went the full 90 minutes in both the MLS opener and just days before in the Concacaf Champions Cup clash against Honduran side FC Motagua. This marks the fourth time Robinson has earned MLS Team of the Matchday honors since joining Cincinnati.

Meanwhile, Kévin Denkey made an immediate impact, scoring the game-winning goal in the 70th minute of his MLS debut. His clinical finish not only secured three points but also earned him his first league-wide recognition as a TOTMD bench selection.
