Stefano Pioli, the former coach of Milan, acknowledged that he was studying English in preparation for the Premier League, but he apparently declined Nottingham Forest this summer.

After nearly five years with the Rossoneri, during which he won the Serie A title and advanced to the Champions League semi-final, the tactician’s contract was terminated by mutual consent.

It was thought that Nottingham Forest was the club in question, but Pioli would rather hold out for a better offer.

This season, Forest barely made it through the Premier League, finishing with 32 points in 17th place out of 20.
