Gabriel Agbonlahor left baffled by what one Everton player has been texting him

Everton’s supporters have experienced one of the wildest rides in recent memory during this strange season.

From the enormous peaks of their two outstanding winning streaks to the heartbreaking lows of their two point deductions and the ongoing takeover turmoil, it has truly been an emotional rollercoaster.
But thanks to the incredible assistance of Sean Dyche, they have managed to survive, and finally the media is praising their work.

One Everton player surprised Gabby Agbonlahor.

Speaking live on talkSPORT earlier today, Gabby Agbonlahor and Alan Brazil covered the major issues of the morning, naturally concentrating on the thrilling Champions League match from last night.

They would, however, pause for a little while to talk about Everton, having Ashley Young join them to discuss the Premier League and his team.

Agbonlahor was taken aback by Young’s demeanour when the 38-year-old concluded their lighthearted conversation with his erstwhile Aston Villa colleague.
He said, “I don’t understand,” to Brazil. When we ask him how his legs are doing in the group chat, he responds, “Fine.” He is just up and down, left-back, right-back, I just think that.

You simply never expected him to be a defender when he was at Villa. He and I shared a similar dislike of heading the ball as forward players. However, his career has been marked by his ability to play for England at tournaments, win trophies, and win the Scudetto with Inter Milan and Manchester United in Italy. He has had an incredible career.

Ashley Young at Everton is proving everyone else wrong.

Due to his poor start to the season—he gave up penalties and received numerous bookings—it appeared that the ageing winger would have a difficult season ahead of him.

Dyche’s apparent preference for him to start at full-back over Nathan Patterson and Ben Godfrey indicated that he valued experience over skill.

However, it was a disastrous move that just did not work in a backline already bereft of pace; not only was the defender directly responsible for two goals but he also gave away another penalty.

Few can dispute that Young has not regained his form as the season has progressed, despite the fact that many called for his dismissal from the team, and with good reason.

His presence during their three victories in a row at the end of last month, when they defeated Nottingham Forest, Liverpool, and Brentford all to nil at Goodison Park, is the best example of this. He played two complete 90s and an additional 45 in the Merseyside derby.

Young may have just earned himself another season at Everton before presumably moving into the punditry role he is already hankering after cutting out the blunders and concentrating on carrying out his duties as discretely and professionally as possible.
