Green Brigade taunt Aberdeen with hilarious banner in 6-0 demolition
With a humorous banner, the Celtic Ultras ensured they would be the last to laugh.
After Celtic easily defeated Aberdeen 6-0, the Celtic fan club celebrated with a spectacular banner directed toward the Aberdeen fans.
Last season, Aberdeen even commemorated a Northern Lights display in Aberdeen by donning a shirt inspired by the Northern Lights.
With a nod to the Dons fans, who have been chanting that they will win the league all season and even mentioned Celtic in the same song, the Green Brigade evidently spotted the silver lining in Aberdeen’s defeat.
Jimmy Thelin’s team was in excellent form going into the match, but they lost 6-0 in the Premier Sports Cup semifinal.
Aberdeen must recover from the loss, but Celtic will take it as another victory because the Hoops won’t be getting ahead of themselves against RB Leipzig in the Champions League on Tuesday.
Celtic would be in a strong position to play in the Champions League after January if they won on Guy Fawkes Night.
In light of the high level of expectation around this evening’s match, Celtic rose to the occasion and put on what was perhaps one of their best performances of the year against some of the best opponents they have encountered.
