Head coach delivers verdict on Nottingham Forest star after making him captain
Serbia’s head coach is gushing about Nikola Milenkovic, a Forest star.
The player gave a solid performance, and Forest did a fantastic job landing Milenkovic for a mere £12 million.
The tough-tackling defender put in a strong performance, but for the match against Spain, he was not given the captain’s armband.
The 59-year-old Dragan Stojkovic is currently in charge of leading Serbia, and he has explained why Minlinkovic was selected to be the captain.
He told BBC: “I’m glad I decided to make him the captain, he fully justified the role.”
Forest needs Milenkovic healthy and in shape again.
Milenkovic is wearing the armband once more as Serbia plays Denmark in the Nations League today.
In an attempt to start the competition strong, the team will build on their draw with Spain. A victory would be greatly anticipated.
After today, Forest will be relieved that Serbia won’t be playing again, and Milenkovic can go back to the City Ground.
Together, Milenkovic and Murillo appear to have the potential to become a formidable combination. Milenkovic has already brought something special to the squad.
Although Milenkovic is only 26 years old, he is still in his prime, and the Forest supporters may witness him reach new heights while he is there.
