The fans will be hoping to see some new faces added to Brendan Rodgers’ team soon, as Celtic’s transfer business is the main story this week.

After recently admitting that he could have signed up to nine players this summer, the Celtics manager has been patiently adding quality to the squad.
But it appears that the Hoops plan to bolster their academy roster in addition to giving the Celtics first team some attention during the summer transfer window.

This week, we talked about how the team had brought in two young international players for a week-long trial, one of whom has been elevated by his manager at the moment.

Known as a “super young player,” Ryan Corrigan
Ryan Corrigan and Shay Reid, two young players from Cliftonville, are at Lennoxtown showing off their skills in the hopes of getting called up to the Scottish champions.

But Corrigan was the centre of attention for Cliftonville manager Jim Magilton, who gave him high marks for his goal-scoring prowess.

“I’m thrilled with Ryan Corrigan; he’s a great player,” Magilton said [Belfast Live].

“Ryan is not just for the future; he’s for now.” He is a very young player, so we are attempting to give him more playing time.As a manager, I’ve been known to start young players right away. I put in Conor Wickham at Ipswich Town when he was fifteen years old. I also believe in them, so I’m not putting them in danger.

Celtic take two talented youth internationals on trial
Ryan’s goal against Larne is a huge advantage for us. Physically, Cian Bolger is an incredible player; his movement was superb, and he deserved a goal.
Even though Cliftonville lost the NIFL Charity Shield match against Larne 2-1 last Friday, Corrigan’s goal for the team didn’t stop Magilton from being excited about the Northern Ireland U17 international.

Even though nine young people signed their first professional contracts with Celtic last month, the team still needs to bolster its youth ranks because Rocco Vata left for Watford and Daniel Kelly is delaying a new contract.
