How the Nottingham Forest dressing room reacted to ‘amazing’ Newcastle victory

Nottingham Forest players took to social media following their 3-1 victory over Newcastle United.

Forest ended a seven-game winless streak at St James’ Park with a hat-trick from Chris Wood. It was Nuno Espirito Santo’s first victory as manager of the club since taking over last week.

Nuno praised the New Zealander after the game, saying, “Against Bournemouth, he did amazing work and worked really hard for the team.” Everyone knows Chris Wood because he’s been around for a while, but the way he did it today was incredible. How he scored, how we were in the right place at the right time. The second goal is stunning, with the one-v-one and then the calmness to flick the ball over the custodian. Thank you for your help today, Chris. I really hope he does it again because he has the talent.
