Celtic need a win in Rome to keep their faint Euro hopes alive – do you fancy them to end a six year wait for a group stage victory?
DAVID McCARTHY: It’s unlikely. They concede too many goals at this level and although Lazio aren’t brilliant, they’ll have enough to make it another tough night for Brendan Rodgers’ men.
CRAIG SWAN: Lazio are not in great form, but at the same time, it’s hard to fancy Celtic given their place in the section.
GORDON PARKS: No. Celtic’s Champions League record doesn’t lie and winning in Rome will sadly be another step too far.
FRASER WILSON: Don’t see it. Lazio are no great shakes but while Celtic have been competitive in all but one group stage game they have paid the price for being naive and I can’t see anything other than the end of their Euro campaign.
Rangers face Aris at Ibrox while Aberdeen are in Helsinki to take on HJK – what’s your Thursday predictions?
DAVID: I reckon Rangers will be to strong for the Cypriots and can win by a couple of goals. Aberdeen have been unlucky not to take more points from their group and I think they can one to their tally by drawing in Finland.
CRAIG: Rangers should be able to avenge their defeat in Cyprus. Aberdeen can secure a point in Helsinki.
GORDON: Rangers should be able to pick up three points but Aberdeen are well short and it will be another long night for them.
FRASER: Rangers have momentum on their side and should be comfortable against the Cypriots. HJK were poor at Pittodrie and with the pressure off Aberdeen can pick up their first group win of the campaign.
Philippe Clement says he’s already drawing up his Rangers transfer wish list but what areas should he prioritising?
DAVID: He needs a goalscorer to covert more of the chances that are being created. Will be interesting to see if he tries to bring Ianis Hagi back from Spain. The decision to let him go on loan was a head-scratcher.
CRAIG: Clement needs a top class winger to supplement his side and a new left back.
GORDON: Wide players are a priority, he needs to add genuine quality all over the pitch as the recent recruitment has been woeful.
FRASER: Another striker who can be relied on to find the net. And an out an out wide man to provide something different.
DAVID:Kyogo Furuhashi isn’t quite at the top of his game but chances are that he will be the top scorer when the ball stops rolling at the end of the season.
CRAIG: Shankland and Kyogo will be fighting it out by the finish.
GORDON: Shankland has been immense but the smart money will be on Kyogo.
FRASER: It’s hard to see past Kyogo but Shankland, Danilo and Bojan Miovski will be sniffing about that honour too.
