Dapo Mebude has stated that the Rangers are his “home” and that he hopes to return there in the future to take the lead at Ibrox.

Mebude, 22, played just one senior game for Rangers before joining Watford. From there, he was loaned to AFC Wimbledon before settling down long-term at his present employers, Oostende in Belgium.
The adaptable forward, who can play up front or on the left wing, is eager to return to Glasgow and make waves for the team where he spent ten years growing up and developing. He stated to The Athletic, “One of my goals is to go back to Rangers one day.”

Mebude scored goals with abandon for several Rangers youth teams during his stellar academy days, but he hasn’t been able to carry that success into his senior career.
Making 32 appearances for the English third-tier team in all competitions, he earned invaluable first-team experience in League One with AFC Wimbledon in 2021–2022, but injuries have kept him from extending that momentum in Belgium.

During his first season with Oostende, Mebude was not given many opportunities due to the club’s relegation to the second division.
Mebude’s chances of being given more chances to prove his worth increased with his tier drop, but an automobile mishap has kept him from having the influence he could this term.
The forward is eager to make up for lost time and start realising his enormous potential as soon as he gets back. Rangers will definitely throw open their arms to have him back home if and when he succeeds in doing that.
