‘It’s my job to reintroduce him with not too much pressure’ – Tom Cleverley on Jebbison

Daniel Jebbison, who was left out of Watford’s last two matchday 20-man squads, will return this week as the club plays three games in seven days.

The on-loan Bournemouth striker has struggled since joining at the end of the summer transfer window, and head coach Tom Cleverley kept Jebbison out of the spotlight by leaving him out of both the game at Leeds and the home win over Blackburn.

The 21-year-old has only started twice in six Watford appearances, playing a total of 236 minutes, the longest of which was 68 minutes in a 4-1 defeat to Norwich.

“He’s training really well, and he has a fantastic attitude on the training pitch,” said Cleverley.

“He’ll be playing some sort of minutes in the next three games for sure.

“It’s my job to reintroduce him with not too much pressure on him.

“He’ll play when the time is right for him and for the team.

“I thought Bayo’s 30 minutes against Blackburn were outstanding, and although it’s not his best position Baah has scored playing as a false nine or winger.

“People are doing better than it might look to the naked eye, and Jebbo is showing me every day that he has desire to improve.

“I have no doubt that things will come good for him.

“We recruited him for his finishing and running, and he needs to get back to what made him so successful.

“That will come with game time and confidence.”

In contrast, Tom Ince has worked his way into the starting lineup in recent weeks.

“It’s probably a bit harsh to say that he’s started against Blackburn because was Tom Dele-Bashiru was injured. He would have played anyway,” Cleverley explained.

“He shows every day in training his quality and his attitude, and his understanding of the game and intelligence is something that we really need in our team.

“His delivery at set pieces is an added bonus and we’ve looked dangerous from them.”

Imran Louza has only appeared in two league games this season, but he was on the bench last Saturday and played nearly 70 minutes for the Under-21s on Monday.

Meanwhile, Pierre Dwomoh made his Watford debut in the Carabao Cup against Manchester City but has not played since.

“They both offer different qualities,” Cleverley explained.

“Pierre is aggressive and really good in tight spaces. He shows high intensity with and without the ball, and his range is more 10 or 15 yards and plays more one or two touch.

“Whereas we know what Imran qualities are, he’s got a longer range of passing and he can open up a defence.

“They are two different players who provide two different options when called
