Celtic are reportedly ‘open to offers’ for James Forrest, a lifetime servant.

James Forrest faces shock Celtic transfer exit as club 'open to offers' - Football Scotland

According to talkSPORT reporter Alex Crook, Parkhead will have a busy day in terms of outgoings.

David Turnbull is set to complete his £2 million move to Championship club Cardiff, while West Brom are closing in on Mikey Johnston.

However, the shocking news for the Hoops is that Forrest, the club’s longest-serving player, could be leaving.

Crook tweeted: “Busy day of exits at #Celtic with David Turnbull set to join #CardiffCity and Mikey Johnston moving to #WBA on loan.

“Also told they are open to offers for long-serving James Forrest.”

Forrest, 34, has struggled for playing time since Brendan Rodgers returned as manager in the summer.

He has made only 18 appearances this season, mostly from the bench in cameos.

Forrest’s current Celtic contract is set to expire in the summer of 2025. The Scotland international has 22 major trophies from Celtic.

Meanwhile, Alan Brazil made an astonishing claim about Brendan Rodgers’ happiness at Celtic.

This morning, the Hoops-daft radio host claimed to have heard ‘rumours’ about the Irishman’s frustrations at Parkhead.

The talkSPORT presenter admits he is concerned that Rangers will reel in the champions as the Premiership title race heats up.

However, his co-host Gabriel Agbonlahor attempted to assuage his concerns by asking when the Ibrox side last defeated Celtic.

Of course, that occurred during the post-split fixtures last season. Michael Beale’s men defeated Ange Postecoglou’s side 3-0 at Ibrox.

Rangers have a game in hand over their arch-rivals in Glasgow, and the teams at the top of the table are separated by only five points.
