James Maddison and Djed Spence react as ‘amazing’ player confirms his departure from Nottingham Forest
Nottingham Forest are now on the verge of playing their second game in the 2024/25 Premier League campaign.
Eight players have already joined Forest during the transfer window, making it a busy summer for the team.
With Forest nearing a deal to sign Arsenal striker Eddie Nketiah before next week’s deadline, there might even be more players on the way.
To balance the books, the Reds offloaded players earlier in the summer, but there have also been player exits.
Several well-known figures have now shared their thoughts on social media in response to the most recent of those exits.
James Maddison responds to news about transfers from Nottingham Forest
More players could still depart the team; Jota Silva, the summer acquisition, might spend the season on loan at Olympiacos.
Because Orel Mangala and Moussa Niakhate left the City Ground to fight Forest’s PSR scares, there have been some notable sales.
However, other athletes and football players have taken a strong stance against the departure of the “amazing” Joe Worrall.
Following his departure from the City Ground, Worrall has joined Burnley, a Championship team.
“Home is in Nottingham. In his farewell video that was uploaded to Instagram, Worrall stated, “Home will always be my place.”
Additionally, the video featured commentary from celebrities like Djed Spence and James Maddison regarding the player’s exit from Forest.
Excellent, well-spoken mate. At your boyhood club, I accomplished what so many dream of,” Maddison of Tottenham Hotspur stated.
Spence, however, only gave a simple clapping emoji in response.
Stuart Broad’s response to Joe Worrall’s farewell to Forest
Worrall has spent 14 years at Forest, having joined the team as a young player and amassing 226 appearances during that time.
The centre back has, however, also spent a significant amount of time on loan with different teams, away from the club.
It was obvious that a shift was required for the 27-year-old to play more frequently in the first team after he only accrued 440 minutes in the Premier League the previous season.
However, Stuart Broad expressed his appreciation for the center-back’s service, ensuring that his time at Forest will never be forgotten.
“The conclusion. Gives me chills. What a guy,” Broad exclaimed.
