Jayson Tatum’s Injury Status Against the Clippers Has Been Revealed

Published

on

The Boston Celtics face the Los Angeles Clippers on Saturday afternoon in Los Angeles, and star forward Jayson Tatum is listed as questionable with a left ankle sprain. Tatum suffered a left ankle injury in Boston’s loss to the Golden State Warriors, but he was able to finish the game after hobbling back to the locker room.

Tatum did not play in the Celtics’ game against the Sacramento Kings the day after their loss to Golden State. Tatum’s performance against the Warriors was a good sign that the ankle injury was not too serious, but he was forced to miss one game and is now listed as questionable for tonight’s game against the Clippers.

With Clippers star Kawhi Leonard listed as questionable for this game due to a left hip contusion, both teams could be without their best players in this one. This would significantly reduce the intrigue for what would otherwise be a very exciting and star-studded matchup, so hopefully both Leonard and Tatum will be available.

Despite losing their nine-game winning streak against the OKC Thunder on Thursday night, the Clippers have been playing much better of late. Boston has been consistent all season and is always a tough opponent. For the time being, there are two major injury concerns in this game.
