Jet waiting at Rotterdam Airport to take Santiago Giménez to Nottingham Forest – Transfer now close, player happy

Nottingham Forest continued negotiations for Santiago Giménez, after their first two offers were turned down by Feyenoord.

De Telegraaf reported earlier today that the Reds have improved their offer to €33 million with bonuses. Also, it was reported that the Dutch team wants to pay a club record—currently set at €32 million—for the striker.

The Premier League team is back with a fourth bid of €33 million plus €2 million in bonuses, according to 1908.nl. Additionally, Feyenoord will get 15% of the proceeds from a future sale.

“Approaching an agreement” between the two clubs will allow Feyenoord to register a new club record sale. In order to approve the 23-year-old’s sale before the window closes on Friday, they are “fully cooperating.”

Eddie Nketiah of Arsenal has been a target for Nottingham Forest, but his demand for a £120,000 weekly salary has proven to be a barrier. This persuaded them to bring the Mexico international back, and according to the report, he is requesting a salary of about £100,000 per week.

“Giménez deal to Forest is complete,” reads the report’s headline. According to the report, the only things standing between him and joining Nuno Espírito Santo’s side are contract signing and medical exams.

At Rotterdam Airport, a private jet is waiting to transport Giménez to the United Kingdom. He is scheduled to visit England shortly to complete the transfer paperwork with Nottingham Forest.

It is believed that Santiago Giménez is pleased with the agreement.
