Journalist believes Brendan Rodgers should keep a “big game player” at Celtic because he is “heroic.”
Brendan Rodgers, the Celtics manager, is expected to make changes to his team in the summer after a season that has seen both highs and lows.
For better or worse, the Bhoys are left with what they need to contend for the Scottish Premiership title after failing to upgrade on several critical positions during the January transfer window.
In a lacklustre performance against Kilmarnock that ended in a 1-1 draw, Rodgers’ team conceded points for the seventh time in 2023–24. This could have consequences for their attempt to win a third straight league trophy.
Although Kyogo Furuhashi’s goal on minute thirty-two appeared to be sufficient to end the match, David Watson struck in injury time to give the visitors a point they deserved.
Goalie Joe Hart stood out for the hosts despite his uncertain future at Parkhead because his contract expires at the end of this season. He made five saves to prevent further humiliation for his team.
Rodgers will have to make a significant choice regarding Hart’s future in the summer. Last month, the Irishman discussed his predicament, saying, “He and I will talk about it towards the end of the season.”
Dean Jones believes Joe Hart, a “heroic,” should remain with Celtic.
When making a decision about a player, those in authority must consider the advantages and disadvantages of the circumstances, and when Hart’s long-term status is finally examined, it won’t be any different.
On the one hand, he is a seasoned goalie who has played a key role in Parkhead’s trophy-winning success in recent years; however, if Celtic can establish a path to find them, there are better goalkeepers in our price range.
Journalist Dean Jones told GIVEMESPORT that he thinks Hart might be deserving of a “long stay” in Glasgow.
“We know that Hart is a big game player,” he said. He is a person with an exceptionally illustrious career. Although I’m never surprised when he puts on valiant performances, the club should still decide whether to keep him or not.
Is there a possibility that he would merit a longer stay? As you watch him, you begin to believe that he just might be.
Celtic will give Joe Hart’s choice as much time as possible.
Given the club’s continuous battle for the Scottish Premiership title, it seems doubtful that any information regarding Hart’s future will surface at this time.
The player and the team will be completely committed to attempting to reverse the negative vibe that has been established at Parkhead as a result of a string of subpar recent performances.
There’s no denying that Rodgers and the Celtic hierarchy will have to make a difficult choice regarding Hart’s future in goal.
