Kyogo responds to the official Champions League feature.
Kyogo Furuhashi has continued to score goals for Celtic in the Champions League, scoring just two minutes into the second half of the Hoops’ first match against Slovan Bratislava.
His goal against Slovan Bratislava drew the attention of UEFA, who posted a video on X of the Japanese striker’s celebration, to which the striker responded.

Looking ahead, Kyogo’s challenges will increase as Celtic prepares to face formidable opponents Borussia Dortmund and Atalanta in their next two away games.
These matches will put his skills to the test against some of Europe’s best defences, but he has previously proven himself capable of doing so. You only need to look at last season’s goals in the competition.
Given his track record and ability to score in big games, Kyogo’s contributions could be critical for Celtic as they progress through the Champions League group stages.
He’s struggled since Brendan Rodgers came in, but the striker has adjusted. Kyogo appears to be more involved in all-round play this season than usual, and his movement has been key in creating space for the wingers, which may have contributed to Kuhn’s improved form this season.
