Leicester appears certain to agree some sort of termination for Kelechi Iheanacho as Patson Daka returns from the AFCON.

Kelechi Iheanacho (27) is out of contract this summer. He was in the rumour mill over the summer and is back now in the January transfer window. With Nigeria still competing in the AFCON tournament and Iheanacho involved, it may be difficult to complete a move during the January transfer window, but it is still possible.

Iheanacho Nominated For Leicester City's Goal Of The Month Award
Real Betis is the latest club to express interest in a transfer. Crystal Palace was the chaser in the summer, but nothing happened.

With Patson Daka returning from the AFCON, Jamie Vardy and Tom Cannon as other options for the top striker position, and Kelechi Iheanacho nearing the end of his contract, with little or no intention from both parties to look into a new deal, it will be a no-brainer to let the Nigerian international leave.

Patson Daka should be the one to call for going forward, as his return to the starting lineup was sensational in the games played prior to AFCON. He is also on a long-term contract and hopes to be present when Leicester return to the best party.

Patson Daka was also heavily linked with a move away this summer, almost agreeing to join AC Milan but believing Bournemouth could have snatched him in the final hours before the transfer window closed on September 1st.

Late Patson Daka header keeps Zambia alive at AFCON
We certainly hope Patson Daka returns to the starting line-up for Birmingham, as he has continued to score goals for Zambia while on international duty. He is a natural goal scorer, and with him in the lineup, scoring opportunities are always present.

The progress of Tom Cannon, combined with Jamie Vardy as a third option, should see Kelechi Iheanacho leave, and Real Betis appears to be close to signing him.
