According to reports from Denmark, Leicester City defender Jannik Vestergaard may soon sign a new contract with the club.
Outlet Bold published a story today about how quickly things can change in football, given that the centre-back was not as important at the club just a few months ago.

They now claim that, according to their own information, a ‘contract proposal is on its way’, with Vestergaard being part of Leicester City’s plan to rebuild the club.
The defender’s contract with the Foxes could expire at the end of the season, and Bold says he can ‘freely negotiate’ with any other club.
However, Enzo Maresca’s side is now sending a ‘clear signal’ that he is a ‘great importance’ in the squad, as Leicester City believes he will be a key player for the club in the future.

Vestergaard was largely forgotten at the Foxes last season under Brendan Rodgers, making only three appearances, none of which were in the Premier League.
Since his relegation, he has already played 30 games and is one of the faces of the club’s promotion campaign under Maresca.
