Liam Scales signs new four-year deal
The Celtic Football Club is happy to announce that Liam Scales has extended his contract with the team for an additional four years, ending in 2028.
With 40 appearances in all competitions thus far and one goal in a 2-0 victory over Livingston, the Republic of Ireland international has been a constant in the squad this season.
The 25-year-old made his debut in a League Cup match against Raith Rovers at home the following month after joining Celtic from Shamrock Rovers in August 2021.
He made 13 appearances and scored two goals during that 2021–2022 season. The Irish defender returned to Paradise in the summer after spending the next season on loan at Aberdeen.
In addition, he has contributed to the Hoops’ pursuit of trophies this season and has now earned three caps for his nation.
“I am thrilled to agree to this new contract and commit my future to Celtic,” Liam stated.
“I look forward to working with such a great group of players and under the gaffer again in the upcoming seasons. This year has been a lot of fun.”
“I’m proud to be a member of this amazing team, and I want to do everything in my power to support Celtic and provide our supporters with the best possible experience.”
