Man United could move to Goodison Park in ‘bombshell’ twist – Keith Wyness

According to former Everton chief Keith Wyness, if Man United decides to renovate Old Trafford, they will have to temporarily relocate from the stadium.

The 66-year-old, who ran a football consultancy advising elite clubs after serving as CEO of the Toffees from 2004 to 2009, proposed Goodison Park as a possible home for the Red Devils in the northwest during an interview on the most recent episode of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast.
Man United established an expert task force in March to devise a plan to renovate Old Trafford and construct one of the world’s greatest stadiums.

The decision was made in response to criticism levelled at the club’s existing 74,310-seat stadium as well as Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s investment in the team.

Ratcliffe asserted that the team has a “once in a century opportunity” to construct a new stadium on par with the Santiago Bernabeu, Nou Camp, and Wembley.

According to Wyness, Man United may relocate to Wembley or Goodison Park.
Wyness urged Man United’s executives to “get a move on” and stated that the team’s stadium situation is “urgent.”
“Man United have been looking at either redeveloping Old Trafford or building a new stadium for a long time,” he said on the Insider Track podcast of Football Insider.

“I believe they are in favour of renovating Old Trafford in some capacity.”It is an obligation they must fulfil. The Glazers haven’t done a decent job at all in maintaining the facility.

“The stadium appears to have been neglected; it looks terrible.

This is the result of careful consideration.

“But they’ll need to find somewhere to play if they don’t construct a new stadium next to Old Trafford.

Wembley has been proposed, and that doesn’t seem all that crazy.

It’s unlikely that the fans would be ecstatic about that.

EVERTON STADIUM | About The Project

This is shocking news: Goodison Park will no longer be available after Everton moves into Bramley-Moore Dock in the upcoming season.

It would, at the very least, keep the games in the northwest.

“I smile when I say that because I know there will be problems.”However, there are advantages and disadvantages. There aren’t really any other potential stadiums nearby, in my opinion.

“Man United needs to move quickly because this is a serious situation.”
