Martin Emerson of the Cleveland Browns issues a warning to the NFL following his career game.

The Cleveland Browns fan base is affectionately known as the Dawg Pound by those familiar with the team, a nickname that is appropriate when it comes to second-year cornerback Martin Emerson.

Browns CB Martin Emerson Jr. gets his second interception of the day vs. Jaguars

Emerson, a third-round pick in 2022, has been a thorn in the secondary since his debut. As a rookie, he served as a backup, appearing in all 17 regular-season games but starting only six. Emerson’s role has expanded this season, as he has appeared in all 13 regular-season games so far, but has only started nine of them.

Emerson broke up 15 passes as a rookie, ranking him among the top first-year cornerbacks in the NFL. With 10 pass breakups through 13 games in 2023, he is on pace to do something similar. Emerson, on the other hand, has turned into a turnover machine, recording four interceptions in his sophomore NFL season.

Emerson made two picks in the Browns’ crucial win over the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday, December 10, and sent a message to the entire NFL after his best performance of his career.

“STOP PLAYING WITH 23 🦅 #BrownsWin,” Emerson posted to X.
