Nottingham Forest handed massive boost over Ibrahim Sangare
Graeme Bailey has exclusively revealed to Nottingham Forest News that the Ivorian midfielder is very much on the mend and could return very soon.
He told us: “Sangare is not far off, I’m told. That’s a massive boost for Nottingham Forest.”
Since leaving PSV for a large sum of money soon after Brennan Johnson joined Tottenham, Sangare has had some difficulty establishing himself at Forest.
Sangare wasn’t helped by Steve Cooper, who initially put him out of position in an attempt to assist him get settled at the club.
He suffered from malaria the previous season, which caused him to lose a lot of his physical stamina and miss the last few weeks of play.
He appeared stronger, fitter, and much more at ease playing as Nuno Espirito Santo’s number six back in August.
Sangare led the Premier League in tackles after four games in 2024–2025, and his injury coincided with the worst possible timing.
