Norwich reject Adam Idah’s Celtic transfer bid as fee and first offer’revealed’.
Celtic made the first move, but it appears Norwich have immediately responded.
Norwich are said to have rejected Celtic’s initial bid for Adam Idah, resulting in a standoff over the in-demand striker.
It was reported earlier on Wednesday that the Hoops had made their first offer for Idah, who impressed while on loan in the second half of last season. Their desire to bring him back permanently was no secret, and it is believed a first approach was made earlier on Wednesday afternoon.
Now, Football Scotland reports that the first offer, in the region of £4 million plus conditional add-ons, has been rejected, with Norwich holding out for much more. New Canaries manager Johannes Hoff Thorup wants to run the rule over Idah before making a decision, and it appears the Hoops’ first bid was insufficient to entice them. As previously reported, it would cost around £6 million to sign Idah, who rose to prominence at Parkhead while also establishing himself as a senior Ireland star.
