Nottingham Forest’s promising summer looks set to continue over the coming hours with the Reds closing in on their sixth signing.

On Friday night, Nuno Espirito Santo’s team plays their last preseason friendly before returning to the City Ground after their tour of Spain.

With Forest still undefeated after three friendlies, the Reds have enjoyed a great start to the summer, both on and off the pitch.

After their summer break, the players have undoubtedly returned to form, and the newcomers appear to be hits right away.

However, Evangelos Marinakis is not quite done yet, as the owner of the Forest is scheduled to finalise another signing in the next few hours.

Despite having signed five players this summer, Nuno can only choose from four of them because Marko Stamenic was immediately loaned out for the duration.

Nuno has been fighting the drop for the entire season, so Marinakis wants to give him the resources he needs to turn things around at the City Ground.
Nuno has never had a summer transfer window at Forest to implement significant changes, and he is doing just that.

The next acquisition isn’t scheduled to arrive in time for Forest to travel to Spain for the preseason, but Nuno should have an additional offensive weapon to add to his roster.
Journalist Uriel Lugt claims that Forest is currently “very close” to signing winger Ramon Sosa.
It is thought that Forest increased their offer for the CA Tallers attacker yesterday to approximately €12 million (£10 million) plus add-ons.

According to reports, the 24-year-old is extremely eager to join the Premier League and hopes to finalise an agreement in the next few days.

Forest introducing an additional means of attack
This summer, Forest has already added Eric da Silva Moreira to their roster in addition to the talented group of wingers that the team already has.

In recent weeks, there have been rumours regarding Callum Hudson-Odoi’s and Anthony Elanga’s futures.

Spurs have expressed interest in Hudson-Odoi, while Newcastle United is reportedly eager to sign Elanga.

With seven goals and six assists in his 21 appearances this season, Sosa is a winger who has shown a lot of promise in Argentina and could be a valuable addition for Forest.

The only thing Forest supporters can hope for is that neither Elanga nor Hudson-Odoi could be a late departure as a result of these attacking additions.
