Who is Jamie Newton?

The 18-year-old has been a member of the Rangers academy and has played regularly for the Rangers B Team.
Last season, the young Teddy Bears team competed in the Lowland Leagues, where Newton gained experience.

Rangers were forced into a corner with Newton. His current contract expires in May, and Forest has pounced.

Newton is a defender who can play as a left-back or on the left flank of a central defensive unit.

Forest have an excellent Category One academy. As a result, Newton believes that with some strong academy performances, the path to the senior ranks will be clear.

It’ll be interesting to see what the future holds for him. Mulholland’s appointment caused some concern because he replaced the legendary Gary Brazil.
