Nottingham Forest & Bournemouth Want Everton Target Vitor Roque

Published

on

Everton may have some difficulty acquiring Barcelona youngster Vitor Roque after rumours circulated earlier this week that the Toffees had made a bid for the star player from Catalonia. Bournemouth and Nottingham Forest are also believed to be vying for the talisman, so it may be a three-horse race.

In July 2023, Roque became a member of Barcelona after the Camp Nou team agreed to an eight-year contract for his signature. After passing his medical, Roque joined the team at the beginning of 2024. His signing was viewed as a coup because he had already made his debut for the Brazil national team.
However, he may be on the move this summer due to Premier League interest, with Everton, Bournemouth, and Forest competing for his services.

Although no deal has yet been reached, the report claims that Everton is “putting in the most effort” to sign the young player from the massive La Liga team.
Everton was rumoured to have made a £24 million bid for the Brazilian, but as of this writing, that has not materialised. As a result, Bournemouth, who recently paid £65 million for Dominic Solanke, and Nottingham Forest have both expressed interest in the player.

The “truly magnificent” former Cruzeiro starlet may struggle to get game time because Robert Lewandowski and Ferran Torres are both ahead of him in the attacking pecking order. However, with Dominic Calvert-Lewin rumoured to be leaving the club to join the likes of Newcastle United and Crystal Palace, there’s a good chance that he could emerge as the new starting striker.
