According to Sabah, Marinakis had already spoken with a close friend.

Worrall has now signed for Besiktas from Forest, which is owned by Hasan Arat, and Marinakis is not in the mood to ruin their friendship.
Worrall, 27, has been linked with several English clubs, including Sheffield United and Leeds.

However, both parties preferred loan deals and did not want to include the option to buy the player.
Worrall departs the Reds after a lengthy association with the club, and he will be eager to prove himself abroad.

Worrall now has the chance to kick on again.
It’s interesting to note that another club bid straight cash for Forest defender Worrall, which was rejected.

Clearly, the defender is capable of doing a job somewhere, and it will be interesting to see how he performs with Besiktas.

The player hasn’t played on a regular basis since the beginning of the season, and the defender may need some time to adjust.

Worrall made over 200 appearances for Forest before departing as captain of the club he grew up supporting.

With Marinakis appearing to be good friends with Besiktas’ owner, it’s only a matter of time before Worrall signs a permanent contract with the club this summer.
