Nottingham Forest Suffer Blow In Interest In Fiorentina Boss
Nottingham Forest managerial target Vincenzo Italiano would prefer to stay in Italy, where Napoli are interested in him, in a blow for the Tricky Trees.
Despite making it through the Premier League this season, Nuno Espirito Santo’s future at Nottingham Forest is uncertain.
Nuno’s future with the team will probably be decided soon, but in the meantime, the team is considering possible successors.
Italiano, the coach of Fiorentina, is a favourite of Nottingham Forest owner Evangelos Mariankis, who is eager to bring him to the City Ground.
Although Italiano is anticipated to depart Fiorentina this summer, Arenanapoli.it, an Italian publication, claims that he will most likely remain in Italy.
The 46-year-old Italian is rumoured to favour staying in Serie A over relocating abroad.
He would rather move to the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona than Nottingham Forest, and Napoli is interested in signing him.
If Nuno is fired by Nottingham Forest in the next few days, it will be interesting to see if they attempt to persuade Italiano to reconsider.
