Nottingham Forest vs West Ham injury news as 5 ruled out and 2 doubts
Even though West Ham defeated Manchester United last weekend, they are still in dire need of consistency. The Hammers are still looking for their first consecutive league victories and are now in 13th place.
Nuno Espirito Santo’s team, now in seventh place, will play a top-tier Nottingham Forest team away from home this weekend. Before the game, we compile the injury updates for both sides.
Danilo – Out
Danilo is out until the new year, with Santo saying: “Unfortunately, Ibrahim Sangare and Danilo are out for a while.”
Ibrahim Sangare – Out
Sangare is looking to return towards the end of this month, currently nursing a thigh problem.
James Ward-Prowse – Out (Ineligible)
Ward-Prowse is not eligible to face parent club West Ham.
Morgan Gibbs-White – Doubt
Santo said a couple of weeks ago: “It is a day-by-day process, so let’s see how he is. He is better today, so let’s hope he is even better tomorrow and keeps progressing.” He is yet to return, though, and will remain a doubt until Santo provides a fresh update.
Chris Wood – Doubt
Asked if Wood’s injury was serious after he limped off on the back of two goals last time out, Santo said: “I hope not. Let’s assess, but I hope not.”
Mohammed Kudus – Out (Suspended)
Kudus is currently suspended after receiving a ban for ‘improper misconduct’.
Julen Lopetegui has said of Fullkrug’s latest injury: “Fullkrug is not ready to play, he is working on his recovery. We do not have a date for his recovery. He’s out, definitely.”
