It’s officially approaching silly season for the transfer market and Nottingham Forest might be ready to take centre stage once again.

James Ward-Prowse of West Ham is wanted by Nottingham Forest.
Pete O’Rourke, a transfer expert, reports that the Reds are now eager to sign the player who is getting close to breaking the Premier League record for free kicks.

With 18 goals from free kicks, David Beckham currently tops the list, followed by Ward-Prowse with 17.

Ward-Prowse seems to have fallen in the hierarchy at the London Stadium following a change in West Ham’s leadership.
Because of this, Julen Lopetegui is eager to let go of the 29-year-old before Friday’s transfer deadline.
Ward-Prowse joined the Hammers only the previous summer. During the 2023–24 season, he recorded 11 assists in addition to seven goals.

He was a mainstay for West Ham before joining the team, making 410 appearances after rising through the academy system.
Before agreeing to a £30 million contract to join West Ham, he scored 55 goals and recorded 52 assists while attending St Mary’s.
The amount Forest will have to pay for Ward-Prowse is unknown, and it’s unclear if he’ll find a new home before the deadline.

Ward-Prowse would be very useful Forest signing

Forest is back in the centre of the action as things really start to heat up.
Hopefully, things won’t be quite as hectic as they were on the hectic deadline day last summer when the club signed seven new players.
Naturally, Ward-Prowse’s set-pieces would be very helpful at Forest, and he would be a decent addition.

When Nathan Jones managed Southampton, he referred to the midfield player as “world-class.”
The 11-time England player who earns £115,000 a week, Ward-Prowse, is a clear talent when it comes to dead-ball situations.

Danilo’s need for surgery for a broken ankle may be related to Forest’s pursuit of new midfield players, as Nuno Espirito Santo wants to make sure the team is well-stocked.
We believe that Ward-Prowse could be the kind of addition that really helps the Reds get off to a great start this season, provided a deal can be reached that makes sound financial sense.
