Paul Merson makes interesting Nottingham Forest prediction
Paul Merson almost got the Arsenal result spot on last time out, as he predicted 3-1.
However, this time round against Ipswich Town will be a whole different kettle of fish.
At Portman Road, the Tractor Boys held Manchester United to a 1-1 draw and maybe could have won it, spoiling Ruben Amorim’s welcome party.
At the City Ground, the game won’t be simple. The defense will need to return to their peak since Liam Delap has been playing brilliantly and Omari Hutchinson is a serious threat.
Interestingly, Merson predicts a close game that will end 1-1 if he is to have his way.
“I watched Nottingham Forest in the last couple of weeks and I thought they got absolutely destroyed in each of their last two games. We were talking about them having an outside chance for Europe after their impressive start, but Newcastle and Arsenal ripped them
“Ipswich are unbeaten in their last three games and I was very impressed with their performance during the draw with Manchester United. I wouldn’t be surprised if Forest nick this game, but I have a strong feeling that Ipswich will walk away with a point. They are in a confident mood at the moment and could make life hard for Nottingham Forest.”
