Peter Grant expressed his dismay upon learning of the most recent Celtic update from the SFA.

After learning the most recent information from the body that oversees the games, Peter Grant gives the SFA a hard time, fueling the ongoing Celtic red card controversy.

We’ve been hearing opinions on the red card Hyunjun Yang received at Hearts on Sunday from experts, pundits, and even Brendan Rodgers for the entire week.
Celtic made the decision to appeal this week. Grant was extremely enraged and told the Hampden suits exactly what he thought of their decision after learning that the SFA had upheld Yang’s red card and subsequent three-game suspension.

In an interview with The Go Radio Football Show, Grant stated, “But the referees, I have been disgusted by the fact that two of them [John Beaton and Don Robertson] when they take it to their leader Crawford Allan, that tells you how bad a state we are in terms of refereeing decisions.”

If he says the boot is high, then fair enough, he’s made the right call in awarding a free kick.

“A card with a yellow colour I would have challenged that. The red card was embarrassing, but that didn’t make it better.

“And for them to return to the [SFA] office without making any changes after Celtic requested that they examine it and refrain from making any changes.

“I’m saying this for football, not just for Celtic, I promise. VAR is a joke. If the referees are unable to make the correct call, then they are truly deficient.
Whoa. Grant has done some amazing work, and it’s so encouraging to hear a pundit and former Celtics player feel so strongly about this subject. Grant, though, has always been that way.

Regardless of how he feels about Celtic and the game as a whole, the former hoops star is usually fair and impartial.
But even in this instance, Grant is obviously furious—both at VAR and at the SFA for failing to reach the right decision in Yang’s termination.

The South Korean will now be absent for Celtic’s next three league games, and if my calculations are accurate, he will miss the Ibrox Glasgow Derby.

That is a major setback for Rodgers, who might also miss the match because the SFA may summon him in response to his remarks made about Hearts following the game.

For Celtic, everything is going wrong at the wrong time. Hopefully, this will energise the group and inspire them to win this title.
