Leicester City F.C
Player preparing to leave Leicester City – Insistence Foxes’ financial struggles are the cause.
The latest news from Turkey says that Yunus Akgün, a winger for Leicester City, will soon return to Galatasaray.
Aksam says the Foxes will not buy the player even though they have the option to do so.
According to the report, Leicester City is “happy” with Akgün. The issue is that they can’t spend money on him because of Financial Fair Play.
The Foxes could now buy him for €9m after loaning him from Galatasaray last summer.
Akgün has helped the Championship team score two goals and and three assists since joining. With those stats, it’s hard for the club to justify spending that much money.
The Turkish news source says that, despite what the English media say, Leicester City would like to keep him and that the price is what’s holding them back.
We’ll find out if the Foxes try to get the price lowered by asking for a discount. Transfermarkt says the winger is worth €5 million, and Galatasaray might not want to keep him for next season.
