Report: FC Dallas Considering Deal for FC Cincinnati’s Star
FC Dallas could be the next destination for former MLS MVP Luciano Acosta, as the club looks to fill the void left by Alan Velasco’s imminent transfer to Boca Juniors.

According to MLS insider Tom Bogert, FC Dallas is emerging as a strong candidate for Acosta, who is seeking a move away from FC Cincinnati. With Dallas in need of a new Designated Player No. 10 following Velasco’s departure, Acosta appears to be a logical replacement.
The transfer market intricacies connect these moves, as Acosta had publicly expressed his desire to join Boca Juniors. However, Boca opted to spend $10 million to acquire Velasco from FC Dallas instead.

While FC Dallas reportedly has interest, other clubs outside of MLS are also keen on signing Acosta. Cincinnati may face challenges in transferring Acosta to his preferred destination in Argentina, potentially making FC Dallas a realistic landing spot for the playmaker.
If the deal goes through, Acosta could provide Dallas with the creative spark needed to fill the gap left by Velasco and help maintain their competitive edge in the league.
